Job Description

We are looking for a new employee in the field of "mobile robotics". Mobile robots offer advantages over traditional automated guided vehicle's "genuine" autonomy. Through the use of laser scanners and cameras, mobile robot system can perform tasks such as:

• Exploration of the environment
• Localization
• Path planning
• Positioning at a workstation

without explicit adaptation of the work environment to the vehicle. The supply of material within a production process can be made more flexible and cost effective through the use of mobile robot systems.

Your job consists of the following areas:

• Operation of mobile robot systems
• Programming libraries to control the various hardware components
• Planning and implementation of middleware for connecting to the application level
• Integration of the robot in the actual process

Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of C++
• Familiarity with Linux
• Experience with the Qt framework
• Experience in mobile robotics, SLAM and Image processing

You will work in small, young and very motivated team in our office in Planegg, southwest Munich. You enjoy putting your ideas and developments in products within short periods and support these in the long-term with further development. REC GmbH is a spin-off from TUM (Technical University of Munich) and is in very close contact with the Department of Robotics and Embedded Systems.
