Robotino® running ROS from Willow Garage

The Robot Operating System (ROS) from Willow Garage is a free meta operating system for mobile robots. REC GmbH adapted Robotino's C++-API to ROS. The necessary ROS packages are available via the ROS Wiki.

The video shows the ROS navigation stack running on Robotino. The graphical user interface rviz displays the map build with Robotinos laser range finder. The target position is given manually. The path planner plans a global path from start to goal position. Obstacles are detected dynamically. The local path planner drives Robotino around the obstacles.
